Auto-Post Integration from WordPress to Facebook?

I wanted WordPress blog site to auto-post to my young and, at this point nearly pointless, Facebook page called anticomfortzone.  If you got to here from Facebook then the integration obviously worked.

Having to remember to propagate posts to Facebook and perhaps then twitter or any other social nebula that constantly drains our precious time away was going to be impossible.  I was already facing the challenges of a new blogger of keeping just the posting aspect afloat!

So as usual without any clue I resorted to google and started hunting for solutions.  SURELY this is a common problem that many people have faced and solved.  It’s not that easy of course.  It turns out that many people have indeed had this and many have solved it…badly.

Like with most plug-in solutions hacked together by your average freelance nerdlinger, most of what I found on the market was half-baked doody.

In an effort to create some form of integration between Facebook and WordPress, you could spend almost as much time trying crap plug-ins and widgets and dohickies to find one that works as you might if you’d took a course, learned to program and wrote it yourself.

Homework done and some risks taken I’ve found what appears to be the generally accepted good solution and this is the first post that will test it.   You’ll have gathered from the large banner that it is called Next Scripts.  It’s a WordPress plug-in that is FREE and will auto-post to just about anything social.   There is a list of posting destinations that is about 60% no f*cking clue.  My next blog might be investigating what they all are and if I should waste invest time in any of them.

Even more amazing than whether it works,  the instructions worked!  They are here if you’re curious

Setup/Installation: Facebook – Social Networks Auto-Poster

You setup an app in facebook and connect the plug-in to it.  It seems a little deep and nerve racking if you’re new to the developer side of Facebook but trust me, there are really no gotchas on the way.

It just plain worked….

…well the setup worked.  As I said this is the first article.  The proof will be in 3..2..1..publish
